Ruby Care understands the vital importance of taking part in community, social, and recreational activities. We encourage all of our clients to actively engage in their local community. Social interaction is essential to every aspect of our health. Research shows that having a strong network of support and strong community bonds improves both emotional and physical health.

Support

Ruby Care works with individuals and families to assist with the personal tasks of daily life, thereby enabling our clients to live as independently as possible. We individually tailor our support to the personality and abilities of each client.

​Everyday Living Skills includes activities such as:​​

  • Meal preparation, and cooking skills

  • Domestic skills

  • Organising and attending appointments

  • Developing general social skills

  • Showering, dressing, and other personal care tasks

  • Household tasks including cleaning and cooking

  • Life skills including budgeting and meal planning

  • Travel and transport, including using public transport

 

Social & Community

Access

Our Social and Community Access programs are carefully designed to the individual interests of our clients. We provide a comprehensive range of programs and activities to help you get out in the community, take a class, volunteer, exercise, and make new friends.
